FIRE DEPARTMENT [station 4]

The Earlysville Volunteer Fire Company was founded in 1966 by members of the local community.  EVFC 's first due area is almost 100 square miles and covers the northwestern region of Albemarle County.  Much of this area is still rural and includes numerous subdivisions.

EVFC is looking for dedicated community oriented individuals to join in supporting our many different levels of membership.

The operational level of the fire company consists of Firefighters and EMTs.  For which all gear and training is provided once you've passed the apparatus and equipment test.  After receiving the basic level of training, more training will be offered for any specialty interests.  EVFC duty crews run four, 12-hour shifts,  Tuesday thru Friday 6pm-6am.  Weekend coverage is rotated by the duty crews every fourth week, from Saturday 6am to Monday 6am and Monday 6pm-6am.

If you’re interested in providing administrative support, EVFCs administrative and support members assist the fire company with the many committees and social events.  They also provide community outreach that helps keep EVFC running.
