Albemarle Fire Corps, established in 2010, is an exciting option for those who want to support fire rescue services in the County but in non-emergency activities. For example, Albemarle Fire Corps partnered with the Fire Rescue Prevention Division during Fire Prevention Week 2011 for a targeted outreach smoke detector installation effort and the annual Pizza and Smoke Detector Program with Domino's Pizza on Seminole Trail. We're seeking volunteers with a wide variety of skills and interests who want to help make a difference in our community. We will match your skills and time availability to the needs of Fire Rescue. Our goal is to provide outreach, education and prevention to the residents of Albemarle County and to support the firefighters who serve those residents. Explore the list below for ways to become involved, or contact us if you have other ways you may be able to contribute.
