fire rescue [station 12]

Hollymead Fire Rescue, which opened in 2007, serves the northern portions of the County and greater Hollymead area. The station houses an ambulance, engine, ladder, and water tanker and is staffed 24/7 by both volunteer and career staff.

Hollymead relies on a combination of volunteer and career firefighting and emergency medical personnel to provide vital emergency services to our community.  Hollymead offers a flexible schedule with a minimum requirement of 48 hours/month and provides volunteer opportunities in fire suppression and EMS.
Volunteers typically consist of local professionals and UVA/PVCC students.
